When players are genuinely engrossed in their activities, the likelihood of retaining the lessons we impart increases substantially. This is precisely why our coaches are meticulously chosen based on their embodiment of the game's essence.
Our personal journeys are intertwined with this game - a game that thrives on speed, exhilaration, and above all, enjoyment. Our profound affection for football and cheer fuels our commitment, and the coaches who stand alongside our players share a purposeful presence on the field. They've weathered the trials as players, possess an intimate understanding of the path to advancement, and have honed the optimal strategies for its pursuit.

FOOTBALL COACHES
VARSITY: Justin Ferris
Justin's bio: This will be Justin's 11th season coaching youth football - 10th with Lower Mac. It is his 7th year as head coach.
This year will finalize Justin coaching at every level of football with the Mustangs. During his tenure, he has won tournament championships at the Flag and Junior Pee Wee levels. He has guided teams at the Pee Wee and Junior Varsity levels to the playoffs and has twice led JV teams to the league championship runner-up trophy. Last year, he coached the team to an 11-1 record and a division title.
Justin also has a son in the Mustangs program and a son who played Lower Mac through Emmaus Varsity Football.
JUNIOR VARSITY: Jeff White
PEE WEE: Derik Houser
JUNIOE PEE WEE: BOB PODLINSKI
Bob's bio: Bob coached NFL Flags for 3 years prior to joining the Mustangs. He was an assistant flag coach 2 years ago and the Head flag coach last year. Bob is also our Board secretary. Outside of football, Bob coaches Basketball and Baseball.
Professionally, Bob is a high school biology and chemistry teacher at Boyertown Area High School.
FLAGS: Victor Gonzalez
Victor's bio: Victor is a Northampton football graduate. He played in the McDonalds all-star game in high school. He played 5 years as a semi-pro football player, and 2 years of arena style football also. He has 6 years of youth coaching experience. He has coached with the Central Catholic little Vikings and with the Bethlehem Steelers spring 5 man, and 11 man fall ball with flag. He was also an assistant WR coach at Bethlehem Catholic. He truly loves working with the kids and giving back. He has a true passion for these kids, and the sport. It’s a blessing for him to see them all grow and change by the week. He is honored to be a part of the Macungie Mustangs organization, and giving the position and opportunity as head coach. He looks forward to coaching the flag youth children and showing his passion, and skill sets.
